Noah’s Ark

2021, Marseille, the phocean city, hosts the World Biodiversity Congress. 2021 is also the birth of my son, Noah. It was born in a Marseille biodiversity in which the Mediterranean monk seal only exists in the museum. If Noah, like his entire generation, is part of a phocean cultural lineage, it is thanks to the last Mediterranean seal. To follow his trail, I take Noah on an intimate odyssey to the cradle of the Phocaeans and together we go back in time and space to revive a Mediterranean natural reality as fantastic as it has been forgotten. One question guides our quest; When the monk seal returns to our coast, will we be ready to give it a place?
